Requirements description

• Solid hands-on experience with automated testing for web apps – ideally using Selenide.
• Proficiency in Java and familiarity with frameworks like JUnit or TestNG.
• Knowledge of Selenium WebDriver and how browser automation ticks.
• Experience with REST API testing using tools like RestAssured, Postman, etc.
• Comfortable with CI/CD tools (especially GitLab) and version control (Git).
• You’ve worked with test management systems like Jira, Xray, or their cousins.
• You know your way around Agile and DevOps environments.
• You think like a developer, test like a user, and communicate like a teammate.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus, but not a blocker.

We’re currently on the lookout for a Test Automation Engineer who loves clean code, sharp tests, and better ways to break (and fix!) things before the customer ever notices. If test automation is your happy place and quality is your second language, we should definitely talk.

Your responsibilities

1. Build, maintain, and scale test automation for web apps using Selenide and Java.
2. Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA peers to ensure testing is seamlessly integrated into our CI/CD pipelines.
3. Analyze results, identify bugs faster than you can say “assertEquals”, and work side by side with dev teams to squash them.
4. Craft test strategies, maintain documentation, and help shape our test culture.
5. Continuously improve the framework and explore better ways to test – smarter, not harder.
6. Ensure our digital platforms are rock-solid by testing key functionalities and user journeys end-to-end.
