As part of the Chief Technology Office (CTO) Business Management team, you will support

all workforce and financial management activities for the global CTO Enablement team.

Enablement sits at the heart of HSBC’s Chief Technology Office (CTO) – operating,

maintaining & transforming the technology infrastructure used by the rest of the bank to run

applications & services (servers, storage, databases, mainframe, middleware, internal cloud

& automation technologies amongst others). CTO Enablement has a global headcount of

~2,000 FTE, and an overall budget of ~$200m USD.

Your responsibilities

1. Deliver an exceptional service to the CTO Enablement Executive Committee and their Hiring Managers – supporting them to achieve their objectives, whilst balancing against financial & headcount constraints.
2. Maintain an accurate headcount plan / budget forecast; highlighting any risks to meeting targets & providing options to mitigate.
3. Contribute to the overall CTO Enablement financial plan / forecast; highlighting any risks to meeting financial targets & providing options to mitigate.
4. Lead the approval process for new headcount requests – applying a reasonable level of critique, whilst ensuring approvals are secured at-pace.
5. Interface with external vendors to maintain existing relationships & identify new opportunities for resourcing.
6. Supporting design and delivery of strategic initiatives, including development of business cases and benefit validation to support transformation.
