Machine Learning Developer – Document AI / Generative AI

📍 Location: Kraków (Hybrid – 2 days/week onsite)

📄 Contract type: B2B only

We are currently looking for an experienced Machine Learning Developer to join a strategic global banking initiative within the Onboarding and Know Your Customer (OBKYC) stream. This area is key to enabling seamless onboarding and client verification for a wide range of clients – from sole traders to international corporations.

You’ll join a cross-functional, global team of engineers, data scientists, and product managers working to drive the adoption of AI/ML solutions for document classification, data extraction and Generative AI-based automation.

Key responsibilities:

• Build production-grade ML models for document classification and content extraction (images and text).
• Develop OCR/NLP-based AI components in Python using modern AI frameworks.
• Work closely with product teams and business stakeholders in an iterative, agile environment.
• Contribute to the full lifecycle of ML products – from development and testing to deployment and support.
• Help shape future-state architecture and scalable AI-based platforms.

Requirements:

Must have:

• Hands-on experience in Document AI / Intelligent Document Processing using traditional models and Generative AI.
• Strong Python programming skills and experience with ML, DL, NLP, OCR.
• Proficiency with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, HuggingFace, Spacy, OpenCV, Regex, or similar.
• Awareness of secure coding, resilience and deployment best practices for production environments.

Nice to have:

• Experience with PostgreSQL and/or Azure (Azure DevOps, AKS, CLI, VM).
• Familiarity with CI/CD and high-frequency production deployment environments.
