About the Role

Join a dynamic, forward-thinking Product Development team within Visa’s Acceptance Solutions group. As a Java Application Support Engineer (SRE), you'll be the guardian of mission-critical payment applications that power e-Commerce, POS, and mobile-commerce transactions globally. Your work will directly influence stability, reliability, and the seamless functioning of advanced payment systems.

Your Responsibilities

• 🛠 Provide hands-on technical support for Java-based enterprise applications

• 🔍 Diagnose and resolve application issues in a timely manner

• 🤝 Work closely with developers and QA teams to address bugs and roll out fixes

• 📈 Monitor application performance and ensure high system uptime

• 📘 Document resolutions and support procedures for knowledge sharing

• ⚙️ Optimize application performance through tuning and proactive analysis

• 👨‍🏫 Support end-users and provide guidance or training when required

What You Bring

• 🎓 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• 💼 5 to 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java & Spring Framework

• 🔄 Strong understanding of Java application lifecycles, error handling, and performance tuning

• 🧩 Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• 🗣 Strong communication and collaboration skills – you’ll work with cross-functional teams

• 💡 Passion for building scalable, reliable systems and a mindset of continuous improvement
