AI Machine Learning (ML) Developer

Kraków - based opportunity with hybrid work model (1 visit/month in the office).

As an AI Machine Learning (ML) Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution at the forefront of digital transformation. You will be responsible for developing and deploying advanced machine learning models to enhance document processing and content extraction capabilities. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will design innovative solutions leveraging AI, deep learning, and OCR technologies. This role requires expertise in production-ready models and a deep understanding of secure, scalable AI applications to drive business outcomes.

Your main responsibilities:

• Building production-ready models to extract and classify content from images and text-based sources
• Working closely with business teams to understand requirements and iteratively develop solutions
• Collaborating with product managers and technical teams to ensure alignment with business goals
• Designing and developing Python/ML/OCR-based components for AI-driven applications
• Testing, deploying, and supporting applications throughout their lifecycle
• Implementing machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and generative AI techniques
• Ensuring code quality with a strong focus on cybersecurity and application resilience
• Utilizing frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, Spacy, OpenCV, and Regex
• Optimizing AI models for efficiency and scalability in production environments
• Continuously improving AI solutions based on business feedback and evolving technology trends

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Strong experience in Document AI and intelligent document processing using traditional models and Generative AI
• Hands-on experience delivering AI/ML models into production using Python
• Proficiency in deep learning, NLP, generative AI, image processing, and OCR technologies
• Familiarity with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, Spacy, OpenCV, and Regex
• Knowledge of secure coding practices, cybersecurity, and application resilience
• Experience designing and deploying AI-driven solutions in enterprise environments
• Ability to work collaboratively with business teams and technical stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset
• Excellent communication and documentation skills for AI model development and deployment
• Experience with cloud-based AI solutions and scalable architectures

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience using PostgreSQL for data storage and management
• Proficiency with Azure core services, including Virtual Machines, Kubernetes(AKS), and DevOps tools
• Experience working in teams that release at a high cadence to production
