Job description

We’re looking for a passionate Product Owner to join one of our teams working on a SaaS sustainability ratings platform for a French-based unicorn ($1B+).

Our client is the world’s most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. Global supply chains, financial institutions, and public organizations rely on our client to monitor and improve the sustainability performance of their business and trading partners. Backed by a powerful technology platform, Our client’s evidence-based ratings are validated by a global team of experts, and are adapted to more than 200 industry categories, 160 countries, and companies of all sizes. Its actionable scorecards provide benchmarks, insights, and a guided improvement journey for environmental, social and ethical practices.

Responsibilities:

🔹Collaborate closely on refining the product backlog, shaping the product vision, and defining the roadmap.

🔹Own and maintain the team backlog, incorporating feedback from Architects, Stakeholders, and defect reports to ensure alignment with product goals.

🔹Prepare and facilitate sprint planning sessions to define valuable increments for upcoming sprints.

🔹Write and refine user stories as needed throughout the development cycle to ensure continuous value delivery.

🔹Validate completed user stories and features to ensure they meet quality standards and fulfill the expected requirements.

🔹Actively participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to support team alignment and continuous improvement.

Release Management:

🔹Support the team in delivering user stories by providing detailed explanations and context.

🔹Collaborate with the Product Manager to define the release strategy — whether via progressive rollout (limited user access) or full release (all users).

🔹Create or delegate the creation of feature toggles when necessary to control feature availability.

🔹Notify stakeholders when Business Unit (BU) tests are available, support test users by managing access, clarifying functionalities, and collecting feedback or bug 🔹reports.

🔹Validate delivered features and manage activation or deactivation of functionalities in production as required.

Requirements:

🔸Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within product management.

🔸Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and software development processes.

🔸Strong ability to define, prioritize, and manage product backlog items effectively.

🔸Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

🔸Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers.

🔸Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).

🔸General understanding of computer science principles and system architecture.

🔸Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.

Nice to have:

🔹Ability to influence teams and stakeholders, drive decision-making, and extract essential input for product direction.

🔹Technical background or familiarity with software development and web technologies.

🔹Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

🔹Passion for building impactful, user-friendly products and working closely with development teams.

🔹Good grasp of UX/UI principles and their application in digital products.

🔹Strong motivation for continuous learning, self-improvement, and keeping up with industry trends.
