For our client – an innovative European technology company with one of the continent’s largest AI research teams, building advanced solutions in speech, vision, text and Big Data – we are seeking a Senior AI Engineer. Their platforms power widely used products and services, reaching hundreds of millions of users worldwide.

Your role

• Design, build and optimise autonomous AI agents and multi-agent systems

• Develop and tune Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for high-quality information retrieval

• Integrate external services via REST, Model Context Protocol (MCP) or OpenAI-compatible APIs

• Establish robust monitoring and observability practices (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana)

• Champion clean, maintainable code and modern engineering standards

• Provide technical leadership and mentor a team of engineers

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, translating requirements into scalable technical solutions

• Stay current with the latest advances in agentic and generative-AI research

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent professional experience

• 5 + years in a similar AI/ML engineering role

• Expert-level Python programming skills

• Hands-on experience fine-tuning large language models and orchestrating AI workflows

• Proficiency with containerisation (Docker) and CI/CD practices

• Familiarity with at least one LLM provider’s API/SDK (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic)

• Practical knowledge of multi-agent concepts, RAG techniques and vector/SQL/NoSQL databases

• Experience deploying local LLM runtimes (e.g. Ollama, vLLM)

• Strong commitment to code quality, continuous learning and rapid adoption of new tools and APIs
