About the team:

The Core Banking team is at the heart of TransferGo’s technology, responsible for building and maintaining the internal financial infrastructure that powers our entire product ecosystem. Think of it as the engine behind the scenes — enabling all other teams to build features, scale services, and deliver real value to our users.

In this role, you’ll be working on the core systems that drive our business, including remittance processing, wallet functionality, and card transactions. While your work won’t be directly customer-facing, it will be mission-critical — you’ll be designing the rails that ensure everything runs smoothly, securely, and reliably.

We’re looking for a Junior-Mid Backend Engineer with a strong foundation in .NET C#, who’s also open to working with other technologies, particularly PHP. This is a great opportunity for someone with a product-focused mindset — someone who sees the bigger picture, cares about the “why” behind the work, and is driven to build tech that makes a real impact.

Here’s what you’ll be doing as a Backend Engineer:

1. Design, build and operate services in a cloud-native, service-oriented environment, which will be used by multi-platform applications and hundreds of thousands of users

2. Enjoy a great level of end-to-end autonomy, contributing to system design, implementation approach and production operations of your services — we truly believe in the “Builder’s mindset”

3. Work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to build modern and scalable software

4. Develop backend features using .NET and PHP

5. Review Pull Requests

6. Be on rotation for production duty (during working hours)

7. Investigate how certain features should be implemented from a technical perspective

8. Align with other engineers to ensure smooth collaboration across teams

9. Work in a team of strong professionals — a great chance to learn from senior and staff software engineers, engineering and product managers

You’ll report to our Engineering Manager Tadas Kekys.

1. Proven experience in .NET development

2. Willingness and openness to work on existing solutions in PHP 8

It would be awesome if:

1. You have experience in delivering quality software solutions

2. You’ve worked with microservice architecture

3. You have experience with large-scale distributed and event-driven systems

4. You’ve deployed backend applications at scale using AWS or a similar provider

5. You enjoy building products that have a real user impact

6. You’re enthusiastic about technology and engineering best practices

7. You’re comfortable with ambiguity and can help guide the team to the best solution

8. You’re excited about growing your knowledge and career in a scaling fintech company

What We Offer:

1. Competitive Salary: Monthly salary starting from €2500 - €4300 (net) depending on the level of experience.

2. Annual Leave: 20 Days.
