We are looking for a dynamic and technically skilled Security Systems Engineer & Liaison to serve as both a hands-on security engineer and a strategic coordinator between infrastructure, endpoint, and security teams. This hybrid role combines deep technical expertise with strong communication and project management skills to ensure that security requirements are effectively translated into actionable tasks and that remediation efforts are executed efficiently.

Core Responsibilities - Security Engineering & System Hardening

• Implement and maintain server and endpoint hardening strategies based on industry best practices and internal security protocols.
• Manage secure server and PC image lifecycles.
• Execute monthly patching cycles and ensure timely updates across all platforms.
• Oversee vulnerability scanning, remediation planning, and execution.
• Ensure compliance with Windows OS security standards and contribute to continuous improvement of security policies.

️ Platform & Tool Administration

• Administer and support platforms including Windows Server OS, Windows 10/11, Citrix, VMware ESXi, and optionally Linux.
• Utilize tools such as Active Directory, Group Policies, and Ivanti Endpoint Manager (EPM) to enforce security configurations and manage endpoints.

Security Liaison & Coordination

• Act as the dedicated point of contact between the security team and infrastructure/endpoint teams.
• Translate security requirements and concerns into actionable tasks and ensure proper execution.
• Provide feedback and updates from infrastructure and endpoint teams back to the security team to maintain a two-way flow of information.

Communication & Reporting

• Triage incoming security issues, assess urgency, and prioritize tasks for technical teams.
• Maintain clear communication channels and provide regular status updates on patching, configuration, and remediation efforts.
• Document issues, solutions, and timelines for transparency and accountability.

Project Management & Gap Analysis

• Lead and manage security-related projects such as patching cycles or configuration rollouts.
• Set deadlines, track progress, and identify roadblocks to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conduct gap analyses with infrastructure and endpoint teams to identify vulnerabilities and propose risk-mitigating solutions.

Policy Implementation

• Ensure that security policies and procedures are clearly understood and properly implemented by all technical teams.
• Support training and awareness efforts to reinforce secure practices across the organization.

️ Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with Windows Server OS, Windows 10/11, Citrix, VMware ESXi.
• Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policies, and Ivanti EPM.
• Solid understanding of system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and patch management.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Experience managing cross-functional security projects and initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Linux systems.
• Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+, Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst).
• Background in project management or technical coordination.
