The Citrix Engineer is responsible for the design, deployment, maintenance, and support of Citrix-based solutions across the enterprise. This role ensures secure, reliable, and high-performance access to applications and desktops, enabling a seamless end-user experience. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC (formerly NetScaler), and supporting technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, and Azure/AWS cloud integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments (on-prem and/or cloud).
• Maintain and optimize Citrix ADC (NetScaler) for secure access and load balancing.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Maintain user profiles and policies using Citrix Profile Management or FSLogix.
• Perform patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management of Citrix infrastructure components.
• Integrate Citrix solutions with Active Directory, MFA, and identity platforms.
• Support application packaging and publishing in Citrix environments.
• Partner with IT Security to enforce secure access and ensure compliance.
• Provide tier 3 escalation support and assist help desk teams with Citrix-related issues.
• Create and maintain documentation, including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and knowledge articles.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Citrix environments.
• Proven experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), Citrix ADC, and Citrix StoreFront.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with Citrix Cloud and hybrid deployments.
• Understanding of networking principles, including load balancing, SSL, and DNS.
• Familiarity with monitoring and performance tools (e.g., Citrix Director, ControlUp, or similar).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Citrix Certified Associate or Professional (CCA/CCP) certification.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or VMware Horizon.
• Knowledge of FSLogix, Ivanti, or other profile and endpoint management tools.
• Experience in healthcare, finance, or other regulated industries is a plus.
