Senior GL/Financial Accountant (Power BI/Power Apps)

Role Description:

As a Senior GL/Financial Accountant for IG entities, you will be responsible for end-to-end financial processes, ensuring compliance with global and local accounting standards and policies. You will work closely with senior members of the global finance team to enhance financial procedures and streamline processes. This role involves preparing management and financial accounts, reviewing monthly results, performing and approving accounting entries, and ensuring accurate recording of revenue and expenses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare management and financial accounts, including review and oversight of monthly results.
• Perform calculation, review, and approval of accounting entries.
• Ensure accurate recording of revenue and expenses.
• Manage and coordinate indirect and operational tax-related activities.
• Prepare information for group reporting, including financial statements notes.
• Maintain a strong financial control environment, including balance sheet reconciliations and controls.
• Review procedures and recommend modifications for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with Group Policies and IFRS, monitoring and implementing necessary adjustments.
• Provide technical support and advice on accounting treatments.
• Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits.
• Participate in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes and participate in improvement projects.
• Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders (treasury, tax, finance operations) and external stakeholders (auditors).
• Review monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts (accruals, prepaid, property, inter-company).
• Set up and maintain documentation for new processes.
• Support group and European projects, including remediation of audit findings.

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in GL/RtR.
• Educational background in finance and accounting.
• Strong understanding of financial processes, financial statements, and balance sheet risks.
• Experience in implementing improvements in accounting processes.
• Familiarity with process enhancement tools such as Power BI, Power Apps, and/or Power Automate.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to manage own time and task list effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with finance and non-finance colleagues, stakeholders, and auditors.
• Team player with experience in an international environment.
• Fluent English.
• Understanding of Polish GAAP and tax framework is an advantage.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) is an advantage.
