About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, friendly, Agile-based team working on some of the hottest public cloud technologies. The Public Cloud Portal Development team works closely with our Product Management, Service Delivery, Product Engineering, and other Development teams to maintain and evolve our client-facing portal (Envision).

The senior product owner is responsible for setting, prioritizing, and accepting work to ensure the most valuable and proper functionality of the product. As Senior Product Owner, you will gather feature requests, schedule releases, and coordinate sprints. You should be able to identify user needs, help a customer understand business value, and work with cross-functional teams to manage product releases. You view your assigned technology platforms as ‘yours,’ take pride in being a subject matter expert for them, hold the vision for what they will become, and make it a reality.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally and as the primary contact for queries related to the product.
• Work with internal and external customers to analyze needs and align the product roadmap to strategic goals.
• Own the product roadmap.
• Develop, maintain, and prioritize backlog items (epics/features/user stories) that guide the Agile software development team to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value.
• Solve product-related problems, make decisions, and complete trade-off analysis to stay on track.
• Draft key objectives and results.
• Possess a fundamental understanding of the end-to-end customer experience.
• Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders during the visioning and development of new features.
• Represent the team in front of stakeholders, clients, and users.
• Work closely with product management and senior management to create a product that fits the company portfolio.
• Research and analyze the competitive market and the roadmap for the product.
• Proactively keep up to date on public cloud services and related technology.

Desired Skills and Experience

• 8+ years’ experience supporting development teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• 2+ years’ experience of working with public cloud technology (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Ability to learn technical concepts quickly; work independently with little guidance; multi-task and set priorities.
• Ability to comfortably work in an iterative/collaborative environment.
• Ability to facilitate collaborative decision-making.
• Ability to understand the big picture solution and then craft requirements into actionable items.
• Deep understanding and experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience defining minimum viable products / minimum marketable features.
• Ability to work closely with UX on internal/external facing interfaces, design them yourself, or with the team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to share knowledge via clear and concise documentation, and demos/presentations.
• Able to work in an organized and efficient manner.
• Must be self-motivated, a self-starter and possess a good working attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships with team members, other teams, and customers.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner and Azure Fundamentals certified or equivalent knowledge.
• Desire to continually grow, develop and improve.
• Able to perform as a role model within the team and department.
