Your responsibilities

• In this role, you will be responsible for:
• Cloud architecture and standards:
• • Establishing architectural patterns and defining infrastructure standards, security policies, and governance frameworks
• • Providing hands-on technical leadership in critical implementations and complex problem-solving
• Technical leadership:
• • Leading technical design decisions but also mentoring and guiding cloud engineers in technical implementation
• • Leading technical discussions and facilitating architectural workshops
• • Driving technical excellence through code reviews, design reviews, and knowledge sharing
• Strategic technical initiatives:
• • Evaluating and recommending new GCP services as well as other technologies and frameworks
• • Optimizing cloud costs while maintaining performance and reliability standards
• • Establishing DevOps practices and automation (incl. IaaC)

Our requirements

• What do we expect from you?
• Technical requirements:
• • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform in enterprise environments
• • Deep expertise in GCP services architecture (data, storage, AI/ML, networking)
• • Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and event-driven design
• • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and automation frameworks
• • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• • Some programming experience in Python and/or Java
• Behavioral requirements:
• • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to various stakeholders
• • Pragmatic strategic thinking with ability to balance long-term vision with short-term deliverables
• • Passion for mentoring and developing technical talents

Optional

• Nice to have:
• • Google Cloud Professional Architect certification
• • Knowledge of FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization
• • Experience with SRE practices and establishing SLIs/SLOs
• • Background in building data platforms and/or ML infrastructure on GCP
