Offer description

Senior Python Developer with network expertise to build a cloud-based network platform for our client.

The task is part of a large-scale IT infrastructure project to create a modern network platform. The goal is to develop concepts and architectures that can be used to automatically connect different locations to networks (e.g., using SD-WAN, MPLS, or Internet access).

One focus is on the development and automation of network functions using Python/Django and integration into existing cloud and DevOps structures.

Project start & duration:

Start: August 18, 2025

End: December 31, 2027

Location: Remote (nearshore possible), regular onsite appointments in Frankfurt am Main

Project environment: Agile (Scrum, Kanban), project language English, documentation partly in German

Notes:

Project language is English, documentation partly in German – B2 level required

On-site presence in Frankfurt required due to confidential data (e.g., security architectures)

Mandatory criteria (required):

Python– At least 5 years of practical experience in backend development of web applications, including APIs & services

Django Framework– At least 3 years of experience with Django in web projects

CI/CD & GitLab– At least 3 years of experience working with CI/CD pipelines, including error analysis

Network administration – At least 3 years of experience in the administration and expansion of IP networks

Network automation – At least 2 project references for workflow automation, e.g. with Nautobot, Ansible, NetBox

Target criteria :

Containerization in cloud environments (Docker, OpenShift, AWS) – at least 3 relevant projects

PostgreSQL or comparable relational database – at least 3 years

Testing with Python unittest – at least 5 years of project experience

Agile methods (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) – at least 3 years

Infrastructure as Code with Terraform (AWS) – at least 2 relevant projects

German & English– both languages at least at B2 level
