Role overview

As Financial Controller, you will own the financial side of Everest’s operation. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will ensure clean, accurate, and timely group-level financials that inspire investor confidence and enable fast, disciplined acquisitions.

This is a hands-on role for a builder. You will design automation-first systems, implement robust controls, and integrate newly acquired companies without slowing our deal flow.

What matters most is not how many years you have done this before, but whether you have the capability, drive, and curiosity to master it in a high-speed, ambitious, and globally expanding environment.

What you will do

• Own group-wide budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, ensuring every entity is aligned with Everest’s growth targets.

• Deliver accurate, investor-ready reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow across all portfolio companies on time and without errors.

• Lead financial due diligence and integration for acquisitions in Europe and other future markets.

• Work directly with accountants and tax advisors to ensure compliance with Dutch and German regulations, audit preparation, and investor reporting.

• Design and implement automation-first finance processes, integrating ERP systems, APIs, and dashboards for real-time reporting.

• Provide data-backed insights to guide acquisition decisions, portfolio integration, and operational improvements.

• Manage financial modelling and scenario planning to support fundraising and acquisition strategies.

• Act as a proactive partner to the whole team, including the team and leadership, ensuring financial control is a competitive advantage rather than a bottleneck.

What we are looking for

• Strong foundation in finance, accounting, or economics. Formal education helps, but the right mindset is more important.

• Capability and confidence to take ownership of group financial control in a fast-growing, acquisitive company.

• Experience or strong interest in multi-entity consolidation and cross-border reporting.

• Curiosity and drive to automate processes, such as ERP implementation, API-based reporting, or dashboard creation.

• Understanding of Dutch GAAP. German GAAP or IFRS is a plus, but can be learned quickly.

• Fluent in English. Dutch or German is a plus.

• Open to global relocation. As the CEO and core early team move internationally, you are ready to move with them.

• Appreciation for detail, structure, and precision. Obsessive about getting the numbers right in a smart way.

• Comfortable working in a diverse, international team. Experience in multi-country setups is an advantage.
